| I've searched the forums & tried various suggestions listed in various posts.. My 95 TT will not start. I replaced my starter in Oct/Nov 2007, approx 12100 miles ago. All the lights on the dashboard come on when I put the key to the 'on' position, but the starter will not turn. There are no clicks from the starter when I turn the key. The car will not start when I try to jump start it with battery jumper cables. The car WILL start when you push start it & pop the clutch. The battery has been removed & tested. We need 530/540 cranking amps to turn the starter & the battery has 660. The battery was a bit low at 12.8 V, but it has sufficient current for the starter. When I had the jumper cables hooked up to the car,I measured the voltage at the battery (approx 14V) & the starter (the same as the battery), 13.9/14V). The starter voltage did not drop when I turned the key. I've replaced the ignition relay which is in the fusebox under the hood. I've replaced the starter relay in the driver's side wheelwell. I do hear the fuel pump come on & I do hear the click of the starter relay from the driver's side wheelwell (I replaced the starter relay just to be sure).. But when I turn the key, there are no clicks. The car will hum like there is a large current drain. I've disconnected the postive battery connection from the starter (its the one on the left hand side of the starter/starter solenoid when you look from towards the front of the car, while lying under the car) The hum is still happening. It sounds like it is coming from the engine bay, drivers side between the engine block & the driver's front quarter panel. What else do I need to check / consider replacing & where can I physically locate those parts on the car? Where is the power transistor physically located? Recommendations on how to remove the last !$#@* bolt at the top of the starter ??- Its difficult to remove due to the exhaust.. Thanks for any advice or guidance. John
